Introduction:


Hey, I'm Jack, and I'm currently studying level design at University. Welcome to my new blog, Deconstruct. This is my level design-oriented blog, where I'll share my thoughts and opinions on some of the gaming's most famous (and infamous) levels. I'll delve into what truly makes a level fun, memorable and downright annoying. (I'm looking at you, “The Library” - Halo CE)


Being a level designer is fun, and I want to show what really goes into creating a level and what makes a player tick. There's so much more behind level design than simply placing objects in a scene, and I want these levels to feel appreciated for what they truly are. Someone's time and effort, even if it's not the best. At the end of the day, we're here to spread our love and passion for games.


So get ready to go on an adventure with me as I bring back old memories and perhaps even old nemeses.
