Welcome to the next development update for Cosmic Cowboy. If you’re new here, let’s introduce you to the game. Cosmic Cowboy is a tactics turn-based (hopefully soon) RPG.

Inspired by classics like Fallout 1 and XCom, “Cosmic Cowboy” takes you on an adventure across the distant planet of Proxima Centauri B. In this character-driven Space Western narrative, you’ll navigate through a world filled with dangerous inhabitants and intriguing mysteries. The game offers a rich, immersive experience with its strategic gameplay and compelling storyline.

Itch Page Overhaul

We’ve given our Itch.io page a fresh new look! The updated design better reflects the spirit of our game, and we believe it will provide a more engaging experience for our community.

Splash Screen Updates

We’ve made some tweaks to our splash screen to make it more dynamic and immersive. We hope you’ll enjoy the new visuals when you boot up the game!

Bug Fixes

We’ve squashed more bugs in this update. Here are some of the issues we’ve addressed:

• Enemy Path Finding: We’ve fixed some issues with enemy pathfinding to ensure a more realistic and challenging gameplay.

• Going Through Walls: We’ve resolved an issue where characters could go through walls. Rest assured, the laws of physics now apply consistently in our game world!

• Camera Clipping Issues: We’ve addressed some camera clipping issues to provide a better visual experience.

The team is committed to providing a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience, and we appreciate your patience as we continue to refine and improve Cosmic Cowboy.

Quality of Life Additions

We’ve added some features to enhance gameplay:

• Weapon Range: Players can now see the range of their weapons. This should help with strategizing and planning your moves in battle.

• Enemy View Ranges: To add another layer of strategy, players can now see the view ranges of enemies. Use this to your advantage to avoid detection or prepare for encounters.

Skill System Under Implementation

We’re excited to announce that we’re currently implementing a skill system into “Cosmic Cowboy”. This will allow for deeper character customization and progression. We’ll share more details as this feature develops.
